Judy Steffy is a Senior Counsel at Orbach Huff & Henderson LLP. She is an experienced trial attorney who represents school districts and public agencies throughout the state. With over 25 years of experience, Judy primarily focuses her practice on general liability, education and construction related matters. She currently handles a variety of general liability and construction related matters for public entities as well as all aspects of education related claims including student issues, special education, Title IX and personal injury claims.
Judy has had great success litigating cases from inception to trial in a wide variety of areas including construction disputes, general liability claims, inverse condemnation cases and contract disputes. She has also successfully defended countless personal injury matters. Judy regularly prepares and argues motions, attends court hearings, takes depositions and acts as lead trial counsel for the matters she is handling.
Judy is a native of Southern California. Prior to graduating from law school, she was a probation officer for 12 years. When she is not working, Judy enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and working toward her goal of seeing a baseball game in every major league park.
Judy received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from California State University Fullerton. She received her Juris Doctor from Western State College of Law where she graduated summa cum laude and was the class valedictorian.
Judy is admitted by the California State Bar to practice in all state courts and is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
