David Orbach is one of the founding partners of Orbach Huff & Henderson and has represented public agencies for over 30 years in all aspects of construction, facilities, and litigation. He is based in San Diego where he represents public agencies throughout San Diego, Orange, Los Angeles, and Riverside counties. David is frequently called upon to work with administration and staff to push stalled or troubled projects to completion. He believes that in construction, claims and litigation it is always better to play chess than checkers and counsels his clients to take the long view rather than react to personalities or transitory distractions. David frequently leads in-house trainings for program managers, owner’s representatives, construction managers, inspectors, and supervisory and field personnel as to “best practices” in managing and controlling construction, integrating new technologies and working with the trades and design professionals to achieve a successful project.
David is proud of his family’s history of service to public education and public agencies. His wife, Eva, is an elementary school teacher, his father, Raymond, was Provost at UCLA before becoming Chancellor of UC Riverside from 1992 – 2002 and his son, Grant, is an attorney representing public agencies.
